Overview
The project focused on creating a corporate brochure for BAE Systems that expressed the precision and discipline of the organisation. The brochure needed to present complex engineering content with clarity while maintaining a visual language rooted in structure, scale and material detail. The intent was to create a printed piece that felt precise, technical and understated.
Challenge
The core challenge was translating advanced engineering and high-specification technology into a format that remained accessible without losing accuracy. The brochure required a balance between detailed photographic content and a layout system capable of supporting dense information. Paper choice and print method were also essential to conveying the tactile quality expected from a technical brand.
Approach & Process
Developed a clean layout system that allowed large imagery to hold focus while supporting concise technical text.
Selected high resolution photographs that highlighted scale, engineering detail and environmental context.
Designed a typographic structure that separated core messaging from supporting information without visual clutter.
Reviewed paper stocks and print finishes to achieve a tactile and weighty result, reflecting the precision associated with BAE Systems.
Built a modular grid capable of adapting to variations in content density across the brochure.

Outcome
The final brochure delivered a structured and visually coherent print piece that presented BAE Systems with clarity and restraint. Large imagery framed the narrative across the cover and introduced a controlled technical accuracy within context. The considered material choices reinforced the precision of the brand and created a printed object with presence.
Impact & Reflection
The project demonstrated the value of clear typographic systems and material restraint when working with highly technical content. The brochure held its structure while supporting precise communication demands, and affirmed the role of print as a focused and tactile format for corporate storytelling.
